A Jornada (The Journey) is a game about life, choices, and letting go.
Made in (and winner of) a game jam called Faça Você Mesmo (Do it Yourself), 2015.

"Guilherme Korn managed to put in a few pages a map of what is life. Each and everyone carrying thheir own crosses, with their heart pounding, walking paths not always chosen by them, until the endo of the Journey".

This game was made during a time where I needed to make a choice in my life, letting go of one way to achieve my dreams and goals, and finding another path. It has a strong tie to the game jam rules of the time it was created, which are:

Themes

Experience - Letting Go: Hard choices, leaving something behind, moving on.
Inspiration - Neighborhood: Presented here as the people around earch Walker as they go on with their journey.
Design Challenge - Bureocracy: in this game, every single player has a distinct role in every scene framed, and every role has a distinct set of mechanics to use. And, the game is for, and only for, 4 players.

"Through the reading, we can sense a myriad of mechanics placed there to feel the "let go and move on" among the characters. Since a simple 'pass the pen' to other player, until the end where you throw away every piece of the game and keep the journey only in your memory. The author was happy in their decision to split the mechanics among the roles, embracing the Design Challenge of Bureocracy,  giving each role a specific and unique function each scene, and making it easy to understad through the symbol of the Cross."

The game is still only avaiable in Portuguese-Brazil, but I'm giving a thought about making an English version.
